Beechbrae holds an orchard, community garden, mixed woodland with walking paths, and a wild pond. From these places we run a few programmes that that focus on improving mental and physical health through nature connection.

Woodland Wellbeing
Beechbrae offers tailored woodland wellbeing sessions for young people that focus on improving mental & physical health, raising awareness, and taking practical action on important environmental & sustainability challenges.
These sessions are for small groups (up to 6 young people), are 1.5 hours once a week and are for a minimum of 6 weeks.
We can also do one off or taster sessions for larger groups or for shorter time frames.

Branching Out
Branching Out is a 12 week outdoor programme that was developed by Scottish Forestry to support people who are struggling with mental health. Branching Out at Beechbrae involves:

∙ Fire Cooking
∙ Balm making
∙ Foraging
∙ Mindful walks
∙ Plant and tree id
∙ Folklore
∙ Nature Connection and much more

Wellbeing Conservation Group
For folk who have joined us for Branching Out, this is a next step to continue building on skills learned and developed. This is a weekly drop in session that focuses on a variety of conservation tasks at Beechbrae Wood.
